Tuotteiden ekologinen suunnittelu - Ecodesign Directive
Euroopan työstökonevalmistajien järjestö CECIMO valmistelee ehdotusta ns. itsesäätelymenettelyksi, jolla työstökonevalmistajat voisivat vastata Ecodesign direktiivin asettamiin vaatimuksiin.

Here you will find all the information you need to know about the impact of the Ecodesign Directive on the machine tool industry and the CECIMO Self-Regulatory Initiative.
The aim of these WebPages is to inform machine tool builders and all other stakeholders, who will be affected by this new legislation, about the CECIMO Self-Regulatory Initiative.
The Ecodesign Directive, whether it is implemented through mandatory requirements or self-regulation, will have a direct impact on machine tool businesses.
The CECIMO Self-Regulatory Initiative gives the machine tool industry the possibility to formulate its own response to environmental challenges. By providing industrial input during the formulation phase, the SRI will be able to develop a strong response which does not jeopardize the competitiveness of the industry.
The CECIMO Self-Regulatory initiative was presented for the first time to the Consultation Forum set up by the Commission on 17 November 2009, following approval from the Commission to further elaborate on the concept.
CECIMO values input from industrial stakeholders as well as other interested stakeholders in the formulation of the Self-Regulatory Initiative. Therefore, we will keep all interested parties informed about CECIMO activities and provide updates on the latest developments around this issue.
